Photos of "Cape Molalla," also known as Heceta Head, Oregon

The lighthouse in The Ghost at Cape Molalla, with alterations.

Heceta Head lighthouse, north of Florence, Oregon.

The bridge carrying Hwy. 101 just south of Heceta Head, and the beach below the lighthouse. Until Hwy. 101 was built in the 1930s, the only way to reach the lighthouse was by boat.

A closer view of the lighthouse. Next stop, Japan.

Inside the tower, a view of the circular stairs from above.

Looking up from the bottom.

The 1st order Fresnel lens housed in the Heceta Head lighthouse. Fresnel lenses, in my humble opinion, are some of the most beautiful practical things in all the world.
